Aberrant expressed long non-coding RNAs in laryngeal squamous-cell carcinoma
American Journal of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Medicine and Surgery Sep 05, 2019
Li H, Wang FL, Li W, et al. - In this investigation, researchers identified key long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) biomarkers for laryngeal squamous-cell carcinoma (LSCC), second most common malignant tumor of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Based on The Cancer Genome Atlas, differentially expressed lncRNAs (DElncRNAs) and mRNAs (DEmRNAs) between LSCC and adjacent tissues have been obtained. Between LSCC and adjacent tissues, they obtained 1,103 DEmRNAs and 306 DElncRNAs. They obtained a total of 338 DElncRNA-DEmRNA co-expression pairs and 229 DElncRNA-nearby-target DEmRNA pairs. For LSCC, they identified a high diagnostic value of 10 DElncRNAs and 6 DEmRNAs. HOXB9 was seen to be potentially prognostic for LSCC. The validation results of GSE84957 were generally consistent with the results. These results may assist to comprehend the mechanism and developing potential biomarkers for LSCC.
