Abdominal pain in patient with antiphospholipid syndrome—the role of MDCT angiography on visceral blood vessels

Immunologic Research Nov 17, 2017

Saponjski J, et al. - This investigation yields a comparative description of multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) angiography examination of visceral arteries in patients with primary antiphospholipid syndrome (PAPS) and secondary antiphospholipid syndrome (SAPS) vs control group. It was noted that in patients with APS, the subclinical manifestation of the changes on visceral arteries was more common. Patients with two or more lesions had abdominal pain and the majority of them had PAPS. With safety and accuracy, MDCT angiography represents a preferred method for disease progression surveillance.
