Garcia Y, et al. - The authors aspired to gauge the sensitivity of fat pad excisional biopsy (FPEB) for immunoglobulin light chain (AL) and transthyretin (ATTR) amyloidosis. The inference drawn was that FPEB exhibited high sensitivity for AL amyloidosis. It could be routinely carried out to type the amyloid. Nonetheless, FPEB illustrated low sensitivity for ATTR amyloidosis in the study cohort.
