A systematic review to explore influences on parental attitudes towards antibiotic prescribing in children

Bosley H, et al. - This report focused on the factors influencing parental attitudes towards antibiotic prescribing. Accumulated data displayed that parents wanted reassurance and advice regarding children's illnesses, had a poor antibiotic knowledge and were influenced by personal past experiences. Thus, more accessible education, including simple information leaflets, was required. More likewise studies were required to determine the influence of culture, ethnicity and socio- economic factors.
