Bressan S, et al. - Researchers here aimed to quantify the frequency of short-term adverse outcomes of children with isolated skull fractures. Despite frequent hospitalization, an extremely low risk for emergency neurosurgery or death was evident among children with isolated skull fractures. They suggested considering clinically stable children with an isolated skull fracture for outpatient management in the absence of other clinical concerns.
