Silva Guerrero AV, et al. - Via this systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials from inception to May 2016, researchers assessed to what extent physiotherapist delivered psychological interventions combined with physiotherapy can improve pain, disability, and psychological outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal pain conditions. A total of 30 articles were included in the meta-analysis. Based on the evidence, psychological interventions delivered by physiotherapist demonstrated promise to improve health outcomes, particularly psychological outcomes, in musculoskeletal pain conditions.
