A switch from GABA inhibition to excitation of vasopressin neurons exacerbates the development angiotensin II-dependent hypertension
Journal of Neuroendocrinology Dec 20, 2017
Korpal AK, et al. - A comparative scrutiny was carried out of the impact of GABA inhibition and excitation of vasopressin neurons on the development angiotensin II-dependent hypertension. It was reported that vasopressin exacerbated the increase in blood pressure evident early in the development hypertension. Moreover, blunted baroreflex inhibition of vasopressin neurons was underpinned by an excitatory shift in their response to endogenous GABA signaling.
