A risk score of BMI, HbA1c, and triglycerides predicts future glycemic control in type 2 diabetes

Hertroijs DFL, et al. - This research was designed to identify, predict and validate distinct glycemic trajectories among patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes treated in primary care, as the first step towards more effective patient-centred care. Heterogeneity in the future glycemic response of patients with type 2 diabetes could be effectively explained by the developed model. Thus, to provide tailored diabetes care, it could be used as a quick and easy tool in clinical practice.
