Auris Nasus Larynx May 25, 2018
Okamoto T, et al. - Experts studied the clinical course of double primary cancers of the head and neck and the oesophagus (CSC-HE) to explore appropriate treatment strategies. The disease stage of the involved patients was classified into 4 groups: group A, early head and neck cancer (HNC) and early oesophagal cancer (EC); group B, early HNC and advanced EC; group C, advanced HNC and early EC; and group D, advanced HNC and advanced EC. Data demonstrated relatively good treatment outcomes of patients with CSC-HE. For patients with advanced HNC and advanced EC, TPF induction chemotherapy could be an effective treatment.
