Journal of Pain Research Mar 08, 2018
Essex MN, et al. - In a variety of settings, including total knee arthroplasty (TKA), parecoxib has proven postoperative analgesic efficacy. Researchers here sought to assess its efficacy and safety for the treatment of pain following total knee arthroplasty in Korean patients. They identified a significant improvement in postoperative pain with parecoxib 40 mg vs placebo in these patients. In Korean patients, the efficacy and safety of parecoxib is similar to that seen in Caucasian patients.
