Popovych V, et al. - In this randomized, open-label, multicenter, comparative study, 238 candidates with age 6-18 years were examined to assess the effectiveness of phytoneering extract BNO 1030 (Imupret) in subjects with acute non-bacterial tonsillitis. Reduced intensity of symptoms of acute tonsillitis to 1 point and lower, assessed using 4-point scale starting from day 5 of treatment, alleviation of local symptoms and general condition starting from day 2 of the disease, withdrawal of antipyretics from day 4 of treatment, increase in the number of treatment respondents to 81.6% vs control. Authors suggested phytotherapy, a well-tolerated therapy with no adverse events.
