Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Sep 04, 2018
Suchonwanit P, et al. - In men with androgenetic alopecia, authors compared the effectiveness and safety of topical solution of 0.25% finasteride admixed with 3% minoxidil vs 3% minoxidil solution. For promoting hair growth in male androgenetic alopecia, findings suggested a significant superiority of the treatment with a topical solution of 0.25% finasteride admixed with 3% minoxidil to 3% minoxidil solution. This treatment entity was well tolerated in men with androgenetic alopecia. They noted a minimal effect of the combined solution on plasma dihydrotestosterone levels, approximately 5% reduction.
