A randomized controlled trial comparing the utility of lighted stylet and GlideScope for double-lumen endobronchial intubation
Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia Nov 16, 2017
Chang JE, et al. - GlideScope and lighted stylet were compared in terms of intubation time, success rate of first attempt at intubation, difficulty in double-lumen endobronchial tube (DLT) advancement toward the glottis, and postoperative sore throat and hoarseness in patients undergoing thoracic surgery using DLT intubation. Findings demonstrated that use of lighted stylet, compared with GlideScope, permitted easier advancement of the DLT toward the glottis in the oropharyngeal space and attenuated time for achieving DLT intubation.
