A randomized controlled clinical trial to assess crestal bone remodeling of four different implant designs
Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research Jul 02, 2018
Glibert M, et al. - Authors evaluated whether or not a coronal microthreaded design and an internal abutment connection affects crestal bone loss, up to one year of function. Findings suggested a limited influence of the implant-abutment connection and a microthreaded external thread configuration on crestal bone remodeling. A consideration of the latter as a multifactorial process could be made and it is more dependent on other factors such as biologic considerations than on implant design.
