Journal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology Mar 19, 2018
Paleti S, et al. - Researchers herein compared addition of intrathecal magnesium sulfate vs intrathecal midazolam to epidurally administered isobaric ropivacaine as a part of combined spinal epidural technique in pre-eclamptic parturients undergoing elective cesarean section. Without any complications, a significantly prolonged postoperative analgesia was attained as a result of adding intrathecal magnesium vs intrathecal midazolam to epidural ropivacaine. Both groups showed comparable perioperative hemodynamics.
