Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention Feb 03, 2021
Cadman L, Reuter C, Jitlal M, et al. - Researchers conducted the study for comparing the hrHPV positivity rates and sensitivity of self-collected vaginal samples using four different collection devices and a urine sample. Six hundred twenty women referred for colposcopy were asked to provide an initial stream urine sample collected with the Colli-Pee device and take two vaginal self-samples, using either a dry flocked swab and a Dacron swab, or a HerSwab and Qvintip device. Urine, a dry flocked swab and a wet dacron swab, were all well performed and well received by the women, while the Qvintip and HerSwab devices were less satisfactory.
