A prospective study evaluating indirect MRI-signs for the prediction of extraprostatic disease in patients with prostate cancer: Tumor volume, tumor contact length and tumor apparent diffusion coefficient
World Journal of Urology Jan 24, 2018
Rud E, et al. - The target of this research was to inspect 3 indirect MRI signs: Index tumor volume (MTV), apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and tumor contact length (TCL), with the intention of speculating extraprostatic disease in patients with biopsy-proven prostate cancer, referred for radical prostatectomy. Although none of the indirect signs were beneficial for transition zone tumors, MTV, ADC and TCL were disclosed to be prominent predictors of extraprostatic disease for peripheral zone tumors.
