A prospective, randomized, phase III study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of fibrin sealant grifols as an adjunct to hemostasis as compared to cellulose sheets in hepatic surgery resections
Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery Jul 09, 2018
Bjelovic M, et al. - The efficacy and safety of Fibrin Sealant Grifols (FS Grifols) vs that of oxidized cellulose sheets (Surgicel) as adjuncts to hemostasis during hepatic resections were investigated in this randomized, phase III study. As per outcomes, FS Grifols was noted to be safe and well tolerated as a local hemostatic agent during liver resection surgeries. Compared to Surgicel, FS Grifols demonstrated to have a superior hemostatic efficacy and was supported as an effective local hemostatic agent in these surgical procedures.
