Kogure H, et al. - This prospective multicenter study was performed to compare clinical outcomes of fully covered self-expandable metal stent (FCSEMS) with those of partially covered self-expandable metal stent (SEMS). In patients with unresectable distal malignant biliary obstruction (MBO), FCSEMSs appeared comparable to PCSEMSs in terms of recurrent biliary obstruction (RBO) without a significant increase in stent migration rate.
