Li G, et al. - This study encompassed an identification of the early-pregnancy risk factors for gestational diabetes (GDM) in polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) women. A strong correlation was discovered between multiple early-pregnancy risk factors with the development of GDM in PCOS women. These risk factors significantly correlated with the regulation of glucose, lipid and androgen metabolism. Data illustrated that among these factors, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), non-HDL-cholesterol (non-HDL-c) and sex-hormone binding globulin (SHBG) speculated incident GDM.
