Chen YW, et al. - This trial sought to identify a paradigm for contemplating and managing maxillary sinus conditions prior to the dental implantation through the preoperative sinonasal analysis. It was illustrated that craniofacial CT extremely important for the pre-dental implantation sinonasal evaluation. The risk of dental implant-related chronic rhinosinusitis was disclosed to be low for patients with cysts, polyps, or mucosal thickening in the maxillary sinus. The findings suggested preventive endoscopic sinus surgery for patients with incurable chronic rhinosinusitis, fungal sinusitis, and large polyps or cysts.
