A novel combination of peripheral nerve blocks for arthroscopic shoulder surgery
Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica Aug 12, 2017
Musso D, et al. – In this current study, researchers tested the validity of a presumption that a combination of superficial cervical plexus block, suprascapular nerve block, and infraclavicular brachial plexus block would be a good alternative to interscalene block and general anesthesia in patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Findings demonstrated that the novel combination of a superficial cervical plexus block, a suprascapular nerve block, and an infraclavicular nerve block served as an alternative anesthetic modality for arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
