A nomogram to predict prognosis in patients undergoing sublobar resection for stage IA non-small-cell lung cancer
Cancer Management and Research Dec 11, 2018
Yang H, et al. - Researchers used data from Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) databases for patients undergoing sublobar resection for stage IA non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) diagnosed between 2004 and 2014, to construct a practical nomogram to predict prognosis of stage IA non-small-cell lung cancer treated with sublobar resection. They expected this nomogram to predict the 3- and 5-year overall survival (OS) and lung cancer-specific survival (LCSS) rates. They used the concordance index (C-index) and calibration curve to assess the predictive accuracy of the nomogram. Findings revealed that, a relatively accurate individual prognostic prediction was offered by this innovative nomogram for patients undergoing sublobar resection for stage IA NSCLC.
