A nomogram for individual prediction of vascular invasion in primary breast cancer
European Journal of Radiology Nov 22, 2018
Ouyang FS, et al. - Using nomogram based on multiparametric MRI and pathological reports, researchers explored the feasibility of preoperative prediction of vascular invasion (VI) in patients with breast cancer. Between January 2016 and January 2018, 200 patients with confirmed breast cancer were collected retrospectively. Before the surgery, all patients had MRI examinations. The individual risk forecast nomogram for VI demonstrated excellent discrimination and calibration. Ten clinicopathologic and radiological features associated with VI in breast cancer were identified. Results of this study suggested that the proposed nomogram could be used to predict VI in patients with breast cancer who were useful for clinical decision-making.
