A multiple treatment comparison meta-analysis of monoamine oxidase type B inhibitors for Parkinson's disease

Binde CD, et al. - Experts conducted a drug class review comparing the efficacy of all available monoamine oxidase type B (MAO-B) inhibitors in patients with Parkinson's disease. Compared to placebo, all the included MAO-B inhibitors were effective when given as monotherapy. All three MAO-B inhibitors were effective compared to placebo when given as combination therapy with levodopa, however, selegiline was seen to be the most effective drug.
