Lanzillo R, et al. - Researchers sought to scrutinize the short-term persistence to treatment with first-line self-injectable or oral disease-modifying treatments (DMTs) in individuals with relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis. Findings unveiled that female sex and previous exposure to ≥ 3 DMTs served as 2 independent risk factors for treatment discontinuation, regardless of prescribed DMTs. Hence, it was affirmed that persistence to treatment represented a clinical challenge, regardless of the route of administration.
