Shin YH, et al. - The researchers aimed to illustrate a modified anterolateral deltoid splitting approach with axillary nerve bundle mobilization in the treatment of proximal humeral fractures and to evaluate its radiologic and clinical outcomes. In the treatment of proximal humeral fractures, the use of a modified anterolateral deltoid splitting approach with axillary nerve bundle mobilization yielded excellent outcomes. This approach was a beneficial alternative to the deltopectoral or the deltoid splitting approaches in the treatment of proximal humeral fractures.
