A modified carbapenem inactivation method, CIMTris, for carbapenemase production in Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas species

Journal of Clinical Microbiology Oct 03, 2017

Uechi K, et al. - Authors here described a modified carbapenem inactivation method (CIM), called the CIMTris, in which carbapenemase was extracted from bacteria with 0.5 M Tris-HCl (pH 7.6) buffer. In addition, they examined the ability of the CIMTris to detect carbapenemase production in Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas species. Findings suggested the utility of the CIMTris for detecting carbapenemase production in Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas species.
