A longitudinal study on the impact of ambient temperature on monthly cerebrovascular mortality in Greater Lisbon
Annals of Epidemiology Oct 04, 2017
Rodrigues M, et al. - The relationship between the incidence of cerebrovascular death by age and sex and weather, measured by temperature, over a period of 14 years was examined. The authors concluded that death due to the cerebrovascular disease was higher for men, older people and associated with higher temperature, although the probability of dying from the cerebrovascular disease had declined over time. Monitoring this disease ought to be a priority for healthcare planning, namely if they considered the actual context of climate change in this region and in Portugal as a whole in Greater Lisbon.
