Roepke AM, et al. - Patterns of social participation were assessed among individuals experiencing their first dysvascular lower extremity amputation. Findings suggested that physical and cognitive factors may have an impact on individuals' social participation, whereas, psychosocial factors may impact their satisfaction with participation. These findings encourage rehabilitation specialists to address both aspects of social participation when formulating and pursuing rehabilitation goals.
