A higher degree of expression of DNA methyl transferase 1 in cervical cancer is associated with poor survival outcome
International Journal of Women's Health Aug 12, 2017
Piyathilake CJ, et al. – This article was written with the objective to assess the expression of DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs) in cervical cancer (CC) and its relationship with survival outcomes. These outcomes recommended that the degree of expression of DNMT1 could be considered as a target in the epigenetic treatment of CC. Replication of these outcomes in other study populations with CC could create the opportunity of utilizing DNMT inhibitors to treat CC.
