A healthy diet in women is associated with less facial wrinkles in a large Dutch population-based cohort

Mekic S, et al. - Researchers probed the relationship between diet and facial wrinkles in a population-based cohort of 2,753 elderly participants of the Rotterdam Study. They noted that in women, dietary habits were associated with facial wrinkling. Global disease prevention strategies might benefit by stressing on the link between a healthy diet and less facial wrinkling. A red meat and snack dominant Principal Component Analysis (PCA) pattern was related to more facial wrinkles in women whereas, a fruit dominant PCA pattern associated with fewer wrinkles.
