A droplet digital PCR method for severe combined immunodeficiency newborn screening

Journal of Molecular Diagnostics Aug 29, 2017

Vidal-Folch N, et al. - This research encompassed the exploration of a droplet digital PCR technique, in the screening of severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) in newborns. A multiplex droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) method for the absolute quantitation of dried blood spots (DBSs) T–cell receptor excision circle (TREC) could detect SCID and other TCL conditions related to absent or low TRECs. This method was validated for newborn screening (NBS).
