Wu Q, et al. - Experts evaluated the optimal hemoporfin dose in photodynamic therapy (PDT) for port-wine stain (PWS). They assessed the treatment efficacy at week 8. As per results, an effective and safe treatment for PWS could be photodynamic therapy with 5 mg/kg hemoporfin. Skin lesion improvements were achieved by a higher proportion of patients in high-dose group vs low dose and control group. Highest treatment satisfaction was seen in the high-dose group.
