Asif M, et al. - Herein, the technique of first metatarsophalangeal joint (MTPJ) fusion using cup and cone reamers for joint surface preparation and 2 crossed cannulated screws for fixation was described by the experts. They noted that the union rate of first MTPJ fusion with this technique was comparable to that of others. This technique was simple and less expensive as compared to the use of a plate.
