A comparison study between Magniview high definition white light endoscopy in detecting villous atrophy coeliac disease: A single centre pilot study
Digestive and Liver Diseases Apr 17, 2018
Raju SA, et al. - The sensitivity of Pentax optical zoom technology endoscopes was evaluated by researchers for the detection of duodenal villous atrophy and the ease of image interpretation by non-coeliac specialists. During this research, all patients attending for a gastroscopy were analyzed for endoscopic villous atrophy in part 1 and 2 of the duodenum with high definition white light endoscopy and magnification endoscopy. Yielded data illustrated that magnification endoscopy presented with superior diagnostic sensitivity in detecting villous atrophy compared to high definition white light endoscopy. It could be easily adopted by all endoscopists.
