Zorrilla-Vaca A, et al. - This study analyzed the evidence comparing general anesthesia (GA) with regional anesthesia (RA) for lumbar spine surgery, especially accounting for intraoperative events, the incidence of postoperative complications, and recovery time of patients. As per the observations, RA versus GA offers several benefits, including lower incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting, length of stay, and blood loss.
