Venkatramani V, et al. - A large population-based cancer registry was analyzed to compare the overall survival (OS) and perioperative outcomes in patients with cT1b and cT2 renal cell carcinoma (RCC) undergoing partial nephrectomy (PN) with those undergoing radical nephrectomy (RN). In this study, compared to RN, PN seemed associated with a significantly better OS. In these tumors, PN indicated a higher 30-day readmission rate than RN and appropriate patient selection seemed crucial.
