Mozumdar N, et al. - This study was initiated in order to comparatively analyze anterograde and retrograde approaches for neonatal balloon aortic valvuloplasty. It was determined that both the approaches were equally efficacious in the short term. Moreover, the anterograde approach avoided the necessity for a larger arterial catheter and could reduce the risk of arterial thrombosis.
