Kumar N, Palanisamy NV, Parthasarathi R, et al. - In this comparative, prospective single-center study, the short-term outcomes of extended view totally extraperitoneal (e-TEP) technique were compared with those of laparoscopic IPOM Plus repair for ventral hernias. In total, 92 cases (n = 92) were evaluated in this study, 46 in each group. Based on findings, researchers identified e-TEP as an evolving procedure with comparable outcomes to IPOM Plus in terms of postoperative pain, analgesic requirement, cost of mesh, and length of hospital stay.
