Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Apr 04, 2019
Tibaldi J, et al. - In routine clinical practice in the USA, researchers compared the real-world effectiveness of insulin degludec (degludec) and glargine 300 units/mL (glargine U300) in insulin-naïve adult patients with type 2 diabetes. Data were analyzed for 4056 patients in this CONFIRM (Clinical Outcome assessmeNt of the eFfectiveness of Insulin degludec in Real-life Medical practice) study. With degludec vs glargine U300, significantly improved HbA1c, higher rate reductions and the likelihood of hypoglycaemia and lower risk of discontinuation of treatment were shown.
