Ghosh S, et al. – An observational study was conducted to analyze the clinicopathologic and epidemiologic features of chronic white lesions in the oral mucosa. Findings of this study supported the necessity of biopsy in this condition. Biopsy helped in early detection of oral carcinoma, prevent patients from undergoing disfiguring surgery and chemoradiation, and it would also increase the 5–year survival rate.
