Zaman SS, et al. - The impact of warm intravenous fluids on shivering and core temperature of patients undergoing abdominal surgery is researched in this study. The outcome of this study suggests that the Ringer's solution at 38°C instead of room temperature can be utilized to decrease the incidence of postanesthetic hypothermia and shivering in patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Utilizing this method in addition to other nursing care is suggested preoperatively.
