Yen EY, et al. - This trial encompassed the determination of secular trends and population characteristics related to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) mortality. A decline was reported in the rates of SLE mortality since 1968. However, it remained high relative to non-SLE mortality, and significant sex, racial, and regional disparities persisted.
