Dear doctors, keeping yourself safe from the virus is important but wearing the protective masks, clothing and gloves for longer durations can be detrimental to your skin. It may cause dermatological problems related to excess heat and moisture. And since the skin acts as a barrier against microorganisms, you just cannot let its integrity be compromised.

Hot and humid environment often causes the skin to soften and turn white. Skin impregnation damages the epidermis, exposing the tissue to secondary infections.
