The Laryngoscope Oct 29, 2017
Ayoub N, et al. - The target of this trial was to investigate if nose blowing in the first postoperative week exerted an impact on the subjective and objective clinical outcomes. No significant improvement was noted in the symptoms of nasal congestion or general sinonasal quality of life by nose blowing after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS). It did not adversely affect the frequency or severity of postoperative epistaxis during the first postoperative week. Judicious nose blowing could be allowed immediately after uncomplicated ESS.
